Re: Comptemplating ICD

An EF of 65% would not appear to warrant an ICD, but perhaps that's a typo. What symptoms prompted you to see a cardiologist in the first place? Sounds like you are about 65? Married? Let me ask a less than tactful question? How do you want to die? In general, the "preferred" method here would be "c...

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

So everyone on warfarin stayed away from the cranberry sauce yesterday? Didn't think so. Take warfarin and no idea what I'm talking about? Ha Ha.

So can Zaralto, Eliquis, etc users skip this stuff?

Re: Doom and Gloom

It was explained to me than any shock is a sign of worsening heart failure. Can you spell BULL SHIT ? Who are these freakin morons you deal with? Find their boss and all sit down and discuss. If they do not recognize the implications of their comments you need to find some other intelligent life fo...

CPAP info on NPR

Anyone here going to expand on the topic? Apparently it extends to other health monitoring areas as in remote ICD interrogations, Big Brother, etc. Sorry about mentioning Big Brother, I know that is frowned upon here by the Republicans.

Re: ICD Shocks while asleep

A number of people here have reported a shock while sleeping. You may want to try playing around with the search function to see if a specific heart condition is mentioned in someone's post. Bottom line, people have gotten a shock while sleeping.

Re: She saved hubby with CPR, had baby a few days later

A Fox News report? How great it is that she saved her hubby. In 90 percent of these cases, the subject dies. Hopefully they bought some lottery tickets this week.

Re: Pre existing conditions and insurance

There is no more individual mandate. You do not have to buy insurance and if you do, there are now much cheaper policies that do not cover pre existing conditions or certain other illnesses and would count for having medical insurance. If you are say 23 and not covered under your parents insurance p...

Re: o/t Beam me up scotty.....!!!

In actuality and according to Wikipedia, the USA is a Democratic republic. A democratic republic is a form of government operating on principles adopted from a republic and a democracy. Rather than being a cross between two entirely separate systems, democratic republics may function on principles s...

Re: o/t Beam me up scotty.....!!!

Just how biased is that media bias checker? Truth be told, I learned about MediaBiasFactCheck.com from a RWNJ who used it to bash me over the head about something of earth shattering importance that I now can't remember. It does list The New York Times as "left-center bias" which sets an alarm off ...

Re: Welcome Sumlady (Anne & Don)

Why wouldn't you go on a cruise? Wasn't the whole idea of getting a device to continue to stay alive and enjoy life? Assuming you are true Americans, if you do decide to go soon, make sure you vote. ;-) And while in Iceland perhaps you can report back on their immigration requirements. Along with pa...

Cute Ron, nice try Let's try for a bit of balanced reporting: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/jewish-world-review/ And with no thanks to the Republicans According to the CDC at the end of 1st quarter 2018, the overall premium for the ACA policies had declined by 1.7%. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/o...

Re: o/t Beam me up scotty.....!!!

If there isn't enough posts to keep you happy why don't you post something intelligent that we might all enjoy. I suspect we would differ in what we each consider to be intelligent conversation. The Republicans have voted 65 times to cancel Obamacare including pre existing conditions. They have bee...

Echo with or without contrast

I am curious about getting an Echo "with contrast" that supposedly improves the image of the heart. This has been recommended to me before because I am a "difficult technical study." I've declined because I thought "difficult" simply meant I was a pain in the ass. Now I am learning it may mean I am ...
