Re: any helpful advice about S-ICD....:)

Thank you for your responses...Yes, the S-ICD is limited in that it doesn't pace the person,,,but relative to HCM (my heart condition), I don't believe there is any research with a correlation saying that if a pt is paced they are less likely to not receive a shock. I'm not fully sure I'm a candidat...

Re: Accurcy of fingertip pulse oximeters

We use a finger oxygen pulse monitor at the Palo Alto VA. I have found them somewhat accurate. They don't seem to pick up the accurate O2sat levels when the person's fingers are extremely cold/reduced circulation.

Re: Efficacy of CPR? Any research showing it's not $ worthy?

Wow, some very interesting and strong comments here..... I really appreciate the input. I think this will be a hard sell for this executive director as she has the 'purse strings' for 4 Million and likely would not want to grant the training given the research being inconclusive. Doesn't mean I will...

Re: Efficacy of CPR? Any research showing it's not $ worthy?

Love your input and I totally agree about saving just one life but this executive director has the 'purse strings' .....This person also has an MBA from Stanford and was very serious with me about being aware of the research which showed CPR's efficacy in question, BUT I can't seem to find any study...

I have never heard this before and would love to have obtain this research as to better unde...
