Re: Duh? Live Longer-take 1/4 of your beta blocker

Mine is Carvedilol and used to be the top at 50mg morning and night now I only take 9.375 before bed. For me to function my BP has to be in the 160 to 180 range during the day and then medicated at night down to around 120/70. They will be adjusting my meds over the next year hopefully as I heal. of...

Re: I am back from the many hospitals 70days

Do you know what caused you to have to go to the hospital in the first place? Yes my legs started to go numb and I could no longer stand. I passed out and they later found I do not control my BP and when I stand it drops and I will pass out. They took off most of my BP meds and now my BP is in the ...

it must be for your size. The top max out for coreg is 50mg twice a day which I am on. Good luck on it not going off.

Re: Traveling

All I can say is yes. I have been on two cruises so far and a 10day cruise coming up this dec. We are all different but if you feel good I would go. You need to double your meds just in case of delay and have all your device info ready. I have an ICD and also diabetic and travel when I can. Ask your...

Re: How do you get any cardio exercise done?

Now I am trying to get back into my walking, but I can't get my HR up. Anytime I get my HR up into the high 70's I get the shortness of breath, throw up, then get dizzy. If you look at my meds I am on the highest dose of coreg/carviadol 100mg along with many more and have the same problem. I also h...

Re: For the saint jude users

A vibrating st jude ICD means something is wrong and should have had your merlin unit send in a report. it could mean many things mine is set for batter low, shock, high impedance of high voltage line and a few more things.

Get it checked if it is vibrating.

Re: Deciding

One "Big Brother" concern I have, is these CPAP devices now 'phone home' on a daily or weekly basis. They even call the 'Smart CPAPs." And if you don't use it enough, insurance doesn't pay or they take it away/ Anyone know about that? I have Medicare. Do they need a phone line or is it truly cellul...
