Re: What's up with that?

So now I ponder..... is it the sex or have I died? Seriously, though, why is it moving so slowly? In nearly 2 years, it has barely budged. And, too, it never sets off the scanners. I enter Federal courthouses all the time, through multiple scanners, airports, etc. Nada. Nothing. The last time it set...

What's up with that?

I have a recalled St. Jude CRT.
In October 2016 my battery life showed 1.6 years.
At interrogation today, it shows 1.2 years.
My last shock was Decmeber 2015.
Is my battery regenerating?

Re: Heat Rash or Shingles

I've never had shingles, don't remember having a heat rash.
But from what I hear, shingles are very painful. So I think you would probably know the difference.

Re: The drug Amiodarone

As I hear stories about medical failures, I have become very grateful for my local team. In 2005, years before I had a heart problem, I went to the ER with chest pain, SOB, exhaustion. My heart rate, even after a dose of morphine was over 140. At my initial blood draw, a thyroid panel was done along...

Re: Cardiac Rehab

I agree with both of you. Actually, I just don't weigh myself. If I'm getting in trouble, I'm the first to know. I'm probably not a good patient. To my mind, if I'm retaining enough fluid to be a problem, I should see it or feel it. If the scale has to tell me, it probably isn't a problem. Since the...

Re: Need some positive stories.....

Uggggg. I've never had a lead removed, but I do have one with a recall. It may be removed at replacement. I don't think I've heard of any lead removal horrors in a really long time. Must be some new advancements or something, I don't know. I've only heard positive success stories. I hope yours is an...

Re: Cardiac Cachexia

There is a prescription synthetic cannabinol called dronabinol, trade name marinol. It is used to treat loss of appetite. My daughter is small was always very thin. She only weighed 27 pounds in 2nd grade. She just didn't care much for food, even sweets, candy, etc. It did help her appetite and she ...

Re: Praise Be...

Hey Al, its Sam Sears who is the cardiac psychologist. He isn't a medical doc. Crissy, to me, it doesn't make sense that your heart is the cause of the muscle weakness if you aren't also short of breath. It certainly could be, just doesn't made sense to me. Have you had your thyroid checked? Back in...

You can crash with me, Helen. I get it. When Goldie Honda died, I was distraught. I still can't bear to park in her spot. Al, you've got a lot going on. I'm glad you don't have to fret over medical bills on top of all that. Thoughts and prayers for you. Epidurals have become my best friend. I had ho...

This is a great idea, Helen. I hate to go to the doc, so I collect issues to take him. Often, by the time I get there those issues have either disappeared or turned into something else!

Best wishes to you Leah.
