Amiodarone is the silver bullet for stopping arrythmias (that's what my doc said). It also has all those horrible side-affects, but I was told it takes years for most of them to appear and that short term it's ok to take. I took it for several months last year and it made me really tired and irritable. But it should stop the events. I really feel for Steve and wish you both a calm Holiday season.

I havent had a storm but went through a period of frequent nightime zaps-everything seems worse at night.

I am having an EP study this week to look for a fix. If no fix, my Dr is willing to let me try ameioderone. It has a nasty side effect profile for some. My on it friend has returned to sports after being an invalid.

Am currently on coreg and tried class 1 and 2 anti arrythmics. EF=35%. St Jude single lead but may upgrade to 2 lead for HR 60 pacing. My nightime 40 leads to "stalls" and VT.
