Medtronic Class I Recall

Post by InSync » March 17th, 2018, 11:55 am

You guys may be ahead of me on this one, but I wanted to pass this on in case someone hadn't been notified. It says in the advisory that Medtronic notified providers. When my St. Jude device was recalled, my provider didn't notify me.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy, LBBB, CHF
St. Jude CRT-D 5/12
The beat goes on.....

Topic moved to "in the news".

It appears to be the most recent implants only, but?

Be sure and check your model numbers and if there are any questions CALL YOUR EP.

I’m very confused now. It’s not the serial number it was DVBBD1D I think number was. I click on it and say it won’t work as good. Does that mean I’m on the recall list? Thanks,
Leah

Please call your EP/Cardiologist. I believe it is for more recent implants, but your doctors will know.

My DTBA1D1 Viva XT CRT-D is on the list. Time to contact my EP's office for specific advice.

mrag: Wipe that smile off your face!

ROBO Pop: I do have two very old sets of inexpensive golf clubs. I doubt they're worth the drive up from AZ, and I'm too cheap to pay the shipping to send them to you post mortem. The last time I pulled them out (pre-SCA) a few Latrodectus hesperus specimens came with them, so I'm not in a hurry to do that again.

UPDATE:
I careened around in the Medtronic site and found the letter to the EPs concerning this recall, including the list of affected serial numbers. Mine isn't there.
TruckerRon -- Received Minion I on 17 Sep 2009, Minion II on 26 Jan 2015

Non-ischemic cardiomyopathy
Medtronic Viva XT CRT-D
No shocks yet...

What you are saying is that the list is questionable. Lets hope the EP has the complete information.

PS mine still can work so is available if the price is right. Just needs a turn on. dancee

Thanks for the update and information support group. I had no idea about this and wouldn't known if I didn't join the group.
