Minipress/Prazosin

Post by JR1966 » December 9th, 2011, 5:11 pm

I was wondering if anyone is taking or have taken the bp drug Minipress/Prazosin and if so do/did you find it effective and any thoughts on this drug would be appreciated.

It seems the more weight I lose the higher my bp goes.Already on Diltazam/Cardizem 240mg and now this new drug so it is a worry given that at one point I was taken off bp meds as it was under control.

Never seen or heard of either. Searched on the Pacemakerclub site and found nothing there although Google suggests it is a popular drug. Seems like it does lots of things besides BP, good luck with it.

Thanks for the link Al. :2thumbs:

I agree that it changes sleep patterns. It has changed mine already after only a week. It's like being back on the 320mg sotalol, the nanny naps have returned.I wish I was on this drug while dealing with PTSD after my shock storm. We have just increased the dose so it will be interesting to see the results.Hopefully it won't be a return to my high dose sotalol zombie days.
