I just turned 64 last month. Have had my device since August, 2009 and no shocks. Just had it interrogated before my recent surgery, and no recent incidents either.

I'm the mom of a (mostly) beautiful 16 year old adopted a little more than 16 years ago. I'm extremely thankful I will get to see her graduate high school and go to college in a year and half.

Happy Holidays everyone.

I am 67 and still hanging in there. I hope this is the year I can retire. Then I plan to throw my alarm clock out the window!

This reminds me of the childhood joke: "Why did the man throw the clock out the window ?"

Answer: "He wanted to see time fly."

If anyone needs to know "Why a fireman wears red suspenders," or "why the chicken crossed the road," please let me know via PM. <giggle>

75th birthday in September. ICD is now 2 years old and I can attest to its effectiveness from one experience 2 months ago.

I'm collecting my SS but also still contributing to it. Want to continue working as long as it is still fun to do so.

Ripe old age of 39!!! I have had my ICD exactly 3 weeks, so far so good. The only bad thing is that I have flipped back into A-Fib and A-Flutter and have to go back in for another ablation in about a week.

Have you guys ever tracked who got the first ICD of the year like a New Years Baby? lol... Winner gets a package of gauze pads and some neosporin! Good times we live in... whewsmile
