Greetings from Carl

Post by Carl Portman » December 24th, 2013, 8:47 am

I wanted to check in to wish everyone a Happy Christmas/Yuletide and truly hope that as much happiness and good health is spread around the New Year as possible. I know I do not frequent this site often but this does not mean that the wonderful friends I have made are forgotten. Far from it, I think of you all very much and still consider you to be the special ones.

I go in for a procedure on 2nd January (this includes a new ICD and hopeful repositioning of the unit) which I am so looking forward to, to stop the pain I have had for months now but it is all good. I am not one for New Year resolutions but if I were it would be to feature here more often.

You folks above all know that sometimes one just does not feel in the mood to say anything, even if there is much to say.

So, raise a glass to us, to absent friends who are still in our hearts and to the future, whatever it may bring.

Carl, here's hoping your upcoming procedure goes well.

I was just thinking about those weekly sermons yesterday. I've picked some great poems and other ideas from you, some of which I have blatantly stolen and used elsewhere.

Take care! I'm sure that all of us here wish you and your relatively new bride a very happy holiday season.

Great to hear from you, Carl. I must admit, though, that the only times I think of you is when a daughter is screaming for me to come dispose of one of the larger household arachnids.
