Santa brought me a nice new cold for Christmas

Post by dick » December 28th, 2017, 9:00 am

As colds go, this one is not too bad. Had it now for four days. No fever, no aches, nose runs a little versus being blockaded so breathing is good, but it brings a nasty cough. Nothing really comes up, seems "wet" but at this point it seems like I've done 20,000 sit ups. Throat is not sore. My stomach muscles are sore from trying to force the cough. Very annoying. My local GP says there is a persistant cough going round and basically suck it up buttercup.

Tried Robitussin DM, but haven't seen any results from that. Anyone have any other cardiologist approved cold remedies to fix this thing?

The only cough med that works for me is Cheratussin AC Syrup. Prescription required.

My cold set in Boxing Day evening... and it's a bad one with the aches and constant running nose and coughing. Plus I can't get any sleep.

If I can’t find a cough syrup that works then I usually take a spoonful of honey. Works like a charm. Get better!

A bottle of Jim Beam works miracles...or at least you won't care...besides my daughter is an executive there and the more you swallow the less likely she is to move home...

The best OTC cough syrup I've found is Delsyn (I buy the generic). Just review the warnings with your pharmacist to be sure it's a good choice for you.
